My family feeds the homeless in our downtown area every Sunday.  My dad grills burgers or dogs, sometimes my mom will roast a ton of beef and make barbecue sandwiches.  My brother and I stuff the bags full of chips and cookies and fill cooler full of ice cold bottled water.  Together we all load the coolers with the food and drinks and head downtown.  They have come to know our SUV when we drive down to “the wall”, named after the wall of people we encounter there each Sunday.  It feels good to help them and reminds me that each of us are maybe a step away from being in the spot at sometime in our life. 

My need of help isn’t in the way of food but rather your vote.  I read an interesting article that stated:
